Wayne was born in North Dakota, raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Before becoming a realtor in Illinois, Wayne had a career of over twenty-five years in various positions as Vice President with two major corporations in the Chicago area. At Alberto-Culver Company, he held positions of Vice President of Information Services, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President, Manufacturing. At Hollister Inc., a manufacturer of patient care products in Libertyville, Illinois, he held the position of Vice President of Information Systems and Technology.

In 2004, Wayne and his wife Nancy moved to Florida and reside in Heritage Palms. Throughout the years they owned and managed several apartment buildings in Illinois.

Wayne currently serves on the Board of Directors for Harvest Partners, a non-profit organization. In the past he served on the Kankakee Community Alliance Board of Directors and on the boards of several churches.
